Sports PhysicalsSports physicals will now be performed together as a well-child visit with a sports physical component. If a child is up to date on their yearly well-child appointment then they will not need to see a provider. All the parents need to do it bring the completed sports physical paperwork in to the clinic and the provider will sign and backdate the paperwork to match the last well-child visit date. If the child has not had a well-child appointment in the past year than they will need to come in for a full well-child visit and the paperwork will be completed at that time. This allows the providers to perform a more comprehensive evaluation that expands beyond just the physical component of the child and identify any underlying issues that a quick 10-15 minute sports physical may not have found. There will not be any special sports physical hours scheduled this year and all well-child exams are fully covered by insurance so there should be no cost to the family this way. Parents may call the Aspirus Crandon Clinic at 715-478-6300 and the Forest County Potawatomi clinic at 715-478-4339 to schedule. |
